How Smart is Your LMS?

It is the job of an LMS to deliver training to individuals and monitor their progress.

In a recent survey SkillGate identified that over 80% of UK organisations with over 50 staff have access to at least one LMS.  Yet only 17% of organisations say digital learning is encouraging behavioural change.

The problem with the traditional LMS is that it is not ‘smart’.

They do not easily recognise that not all subjects are the same; not all people want the same subjects; and not all people learn in the same way. The traditional LMS tends to offer a ‘one size fits all’ approach that is expensive to tailor.

This is why SkillGate has developed A.I. Delivered Microlearning (A.I.Dm). It uses modern communication technology to deliver outstanding, tailored online training.

It does this by addressing three critical issues in new and unique ways:

Relevance – It offers training that caters to individual needs and delivers content that is relevant to different people, in different ways, at different times.

  • “I am new to this computer system”
  • Or “I am rusty and need refreshing”
  • Or “I know this stuff but need to prove I know it”
  • O, “Please hold my hand through a learning process”
  • Or “I need to know xxx now!”.

Motivation – It integrates technologies that take advantage of people’s personal motivation and makes people want to complete online learning.

Proactivity – It make things happen! A.I.Dm works with the organisation to help deliver against objectives, and can communicate continuously with staff - where needed.
