Academy10 LMS Version 12 Has Arrived!
Our latest LMS upgrade – Version 12 – has launched and represents one of SkillGate’s most significant upgrades to date. Introducing AI-driven individualised learning, empowerment of Team Leaders and a modernised interface, you are not going to want to miss it!
We are delighted to announce the launch of Version 12 of SkillGate’s Academy10 Learning Management System.
With new tools designed to empower Team Leaders, integrated AI-driven learning features, and a modernised interface, the upgrade enhances the learning experience for every user.
The update also introduces our new products, SuccessTargets, CoachAssess and Verifi-Ed.
Empowering Team Leaders
Version 12 places Team Leaders at its heart – helping them to guide, support and track team development more effectively. It promotes a more personalised approach, recognising that Team Leaders are best placed to understand the individual needs of their team members.
A new, dedicated Team Leader Dashboard highlights urgent issues across the team, such as overdue mandatory training or pending check-ins, so Team Leaders can easily keep on top of their team’s training and development activity.
It gives Team Leaders complete visibility of each team member’s training activity, including what they have completed, what has been delivered, and how they are progressing. Practical tips and suggestions can also be enabled to help Team Leaders build on the training individuals have already completed to offer an even more personalised and effective training experience.
- Other enhancements include:
- The ability to cascade visibility of indirect reports, helping Team Leaders manage larger team structures
- Support for additional managers where multiple Team Leaders share responsibility for development
- Verifi-Ed – a new feature that encourages Team Leaders to confirm learning outcomes by personally verifying individual knowledge on a subject once training is complete
Additionally, SkillGate’s StepBeyond Suite of Performance Management systems is now fully integrated into Version 12. A My Performance area can be enabled by organisations providing Team Leader and user access to tools such as:
- SuccessTargets – a visual representation of skill requirements, achievement and development potential
- Check-ins – a tool to manage the admin and record-keeping around informal check-ins
- CoachAssess – a sign-off tool designed for the assessment of technical or practical skills
- SkillsAudit for behavioural and competency assessment
- 360° Feedback gathering tool
- Annual Appraisal – to support and streamline the formal annual review process
With all training and development in one place, Team Leaders have the clarity and tools they need to support their team’s growth and manage performance effectively.
Personalised Learning with AI-Driven SmartBites
At the heart of Version 12 is an improved SmartBite learning experience, powered by AI.
The system now intelligently selects learning content based on user needs, feedback from Team Leaders, and ongoing user interaction. This ensures that learners are presented with highly relevant, personalised micro-lessons (SmartBites) that focus on the skills that matter most to that individual.
SmartBite feeds now also include:
- Repetition exercises to reinforce knowledge
- “How can my Team Leader help?” prompts to strengthen coaching conversations
- Improved integration with the wider 3R Learning model (Relevance, Reward, Repetition)
The more users and Team Leaders engage with the SmartBites, the more tailored and relevant the training will become, allowing for a completely individualised training experience.
Modernised interface and improved user experience
Version 12 introduces a totally re-designed homepage dashboard for users, providing clear visibility on priorities and actions.
The new dashboard gives users an at-a-glance update on:
- Urgent actions and “to-do” items
- Latest AI-driven SmartBites
- Diary view
- An editable news slider for company updates and learning announcements
- A My Locker feature which allows users to save learning resources for future reference
The Team Leader dashboard can be accessed from the user dashboard, offering Team Leaders total visibility on all training and performance requirements and actions for themselves and their team members.
Clearer Reporting and Learning Insights
Reporting across the system has been significantly enhanced.
Team Leaders now benefit from simplified report tabs, while activity reports have been completely redesigned to give Administrators more control, more insight, and more data access.
The new reports offer significantly more versatility in selecting and shaping report content, with many more data retrieval options. They also allow for smooth integration of performance management data for wider reporting possibilities.
Helpful Weekly Summaries
Version 12 introduces optional weekly summary emails to keep learning on track:
- Users receive a reminder of urgent or outstanding activities
- Team Leaders receive a summary of actions required across their team
These updates help ensure learning stays visible without requiring constant system logins.
