How long we keep information

SkillGate operates in compliance with data protection regulations and is registered with the Data Protection Registrar under registration number Z5976646.

We retain data on our system for a standard period of six years following the archiving of a User, unless alternate instructions are provided. After this duration, data becomes inaccessible.

While live data is removed, users’ data remains securely stored within our comprehensive backup solution. Backups are retained for 14 days before purging from the system.

Responsibility for overseeing the GDPR process rests with our IT Security and Resilience Manager, while ultimate responsibility for service data and GDPR compliance lies with our Managing Director and Data Protection Officer.

Data processors:
Krystal Hosting
This data processor does the following activities for us: Manage our data and server infrastructure for our hosted services.

Google
This data processor does the following activities for us: Google Analytics provides tracking services when a page is visited. The software will save a cookie to your computer’s hard drive in order to track and monitor your engagement and usage of the website, but will not store, save or collect personal information. Google reCaptcha checks whether data entered on our website is entered by a human or bot. eCAPTCHA analyses the behaviour of the website visitor based on various characteristics. This analysis starts automatically as soon as the website visitor enters the website. For the analysis, reCAPTCHA evaluates various information (e.g. IP address, how long the visitor has been on the website, or mouse movements made by the user). Whoisvisiting
Whoisvisiting obtains information regarding activities of visitors to Clients’ websites. When a Client registers to use the Service, information relating to Client websites is made available to Whoisvisiting. This includes:

  • Pages accessed
  • Time of visit
  • Time of last visit
  • Name of the owner of the IP address
  • Reverse domain of the IP address
  • Referring site, application or service, including the relevant search queries that led you to our website
  • Browser information
  • Operating system information
  • Device information (mobile operating system, screen size, etc.)
  • Demographic information (country, county, postcode, street address, etc.)

Your data protection rights

Under data protection law, you have rights including:

You don’t usually need to pay a fee to exercise your rights. If you make a request, we have one calendar month to respond to you.
